For over 40 years Handyman’s Inc. has lived up to our original goal of being an innovative and non-traditional hardware store. While our roots are based on traditional hardware products like plumbing, heating, paint and more, our business mission is anything but traditional. Handyman’s has taken hardware service and specialized products to the max. We not only serve the general public with every day and hard-to-find products in our convenient East-Side St. Cloud location, but provide dedicated personal service to commercial accounts throughout Central Minnesota.

Started in 1965 by Stan and Deloris Severson, Handyman’s has been a family-owned and operated business for over four decades. Their son Doug remembers working at the store when he was five. “That was when it was fun and I’d work for a candy bar,” he said.  Doug is now president and his sister Deb Backus is vice president.

From first year sales of $89,000 to more than $3 million in 2004, Handyman’s has evolved to meet the needs of our customers, including expanding to serve commercial accounts. But what has truly made us successful is our provide-it-all philosophy and experienced, personal service with a staff of over 20 people to serve you.
