For over 47 years Handyman's Inc. has lived up to our original philosophy of being an innovative and non-traditional hardware store. While our roots are based on traditional hardware supplies like plumbing, heating, paint and more, our business mission is anything but traditional. Handyman's has taken hardware service and specialized products to the max. We not only serve the general public with every day and hard-to-find products in our convenient East-Side St. Cloud location, but provide dedicated personal service to commercial accounts throughout Minnesota.

CO-OWNER & PRESIDENT

Owner Doug Severson has been in the Hardware business for over 35 years. Unofficially he began his hardware career at the age of 5 years old when he did odd jobs at the family owned business for a "candy bar" as payment. Stan and Deloris Severson started Handyman's Hardware in 1965. Handyman's has been a family-owned and operated business for almost five decades.


In 1993 Handyman's expanded its retail space and Doug became the President of the company. Doug along with Handyman's experienced and dedicated staff has evolved the business to meet the needs of its wide variety of customers. Handyman's is more than your home town Hardware store for advice, knowledge and convenience. It also has expanded to serve commercial accounts with sales staff that travel to the work site. But what has truly made us successful is our "provide-it-all" philosophy and experienced, personal service.

Mark H.

GENERAL MANAGER

Mark is the General Manager here at Handyman's, and a handyman in his own right. Mark grew up here and attended Apollo High School and St. Cloud State University. Mark can plumb, do drywall repairs, install windows, garage doors, and an assortment of other things. If you need someone to point you in the right direction, Mark is your guy.

Ashley S.

OUTSIDE SALES MANAGER

Ashley was born and raised in Sauk Rapids and is a 2011 grad from St. Cloud State University. Over the past 8 years Ashley has worked for Enterprise Rent A Car in sales management, logistics and customer service and has moved all over Minnesota and Wisconsin. In 2013 Ashley married into the Severson family. She is excited to be back in Central Minnesota and to be working in her husband's family store. When she isn't working, Ashley loves spending time with her husband and son. She is also a wine maker and a fan of all things wine.

Steve B.

DEPARTMENT LEAD

Steve has worked here since 2006. Steve is our main hardware guy; he is well versed in everything's hardware. As an Outdoors man Steve enjoys fishing at his lake cabin. Hunting water foul and chasing the elusive White Tail deer. Steve and his wife raised their three children here and are firmly planted in our community.

Natalie

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

Natalie, a mother of three girls and our Accounts Receivable manager, grew up in Central Minnesota and is a graduate of Moorhead State University. Besides being a number junkie, Natalie is also a part time bartender and would challenge you to name a beverage she can't mix. At home she enjoys growing vegetables and hanging out with her husband, their three girls and the family dog Remi.

Robert

OUTSIDE SALES

Robert is born and raised here in St. Cloud, a graduate of Apollo High School. Along the way Robert became sort of a renaissance man. His many skills include woodworking. Do you have a project, Robert is a great person to offer advice on how to get it done.  As an Outside Sales representative, Robert will come out to local businesses on a regular basis: check stock, deliver product, and consult on your business hardware needs, including heating, electrical, cleaning supplies, and/or plumbing upgrades and more.

Darrell

SUPPORT STAFF

Darrell came here after he figured out that he was not ready to retire all together. Darrell worked for 30 years at Cathedral High school here in town before joining our team. He also has a compulsion for owning classic John Deer tractors, heads a jail ministry program and has gone to Guatemala 14 times on a humanitarian ministry trip.
