President & Co-Owner

Doug Severson has worked in the hardware industry for over 35 years, officially becoming President of Handyman’s Inc. in 1993 when the store expanded its retail space. Unofficially, his career began at age five, doing odd jobs at the family business for a candy bar as payment. Founded in 1965 by Stan and Deloris Severson, Handyman’s Inc. has remained family-owned for nearly six decades. Under Doug’s leadership, the company has grown into more than a hometown hardware store—providing expert advice, quality products, and convenience for both homeowners and commercial customers alike. With tailored solutions, on-site support, and a “provide-it-all” philosophy, Handyman’s Inc. continues to meet the diverse needs of Minnesota’s residential and commercial projects with equal dedication and personal service.
